Steve just called to tell me that the boards are all back and operating. If you were able to get into the boards before the crash, you should be able to get into them now.

One student has reported that she is unable to access the transcription board. If that happens to anyone else, Glenda will have to register you again or do whatever it is that she does. Just send an e-mail to Glenda and let her know that as of today, Sunday, you still can't access the boards. Hopefully it was just one, but nothing is ever quite that easy.

NEW MESSAGE FROM GLENDA THIS MORNING:

The message boards have been fully recovered (thank you Steve!), so they are back to what they were before the boards crashed last Monday evening. This means if you previously had difficulty logging in, you should be able to log in as normal now. If you received an email from me last week regarding a new password, you can disregard those instructions now and you should be able to log in with the password you were using previously.

If you continue to have difficulty logging in or if you are on the Transcription Board and you can't view all the forums you should be able to see, send me an email with the following information. If any of this is missing, I will ask you to review this post and fill in the missing information so that I can get responses to everyone faster today.
1. Start with a note that you have read this post.
2. List both the user name and password you are using.
3a. If you can't log in at all, copy the error message you receive into the email so I can see what the system thinks is wrong. Also list each of the boards you normally can log into and note which ones you can log into and which you can't.
3b. If you can't see what you should be able to on the Transcription Board, list all the forums that you cannot see but should. If you can't remember the exact name of the forums, just do your best to help me look up the correct ones faster.
