Doctor is talking about progressive weakness in extremities. No tremor. No paralysis. No muscle atrophies identified. No disturbances of gait or stance. Position in the (s/l baruck) recess intact. Can anyone help me with this word?

TIA
Annie

I think you are mis-hearing the dictation. Take a look at this link and scroll down to Sensory Testing. Check back if you're still not hearing it.

Definitely feeling like a bozo here on a bus headed to no where. I read the part on sensory testing and listened repeatedly to this spot in the dictation. I have been gone all weekend and have to finish this report tomorrow. It's not looking too good at this moment. Any further suggestions? Am I just not reading and listening well enough to figure this out?

Three key words in your phrase are position, vibration (or vibratory) and sense. This is a common phrase in a neurological exam, so a google search using those terms may help you.

Also, "no muscle atrophies identified" is more likely to be "no muscle atrophy is identified".

Is this a homework assignment? Four days to complete a report is a mighty long turnaround time!

Working for a private trans co locally. I told her I couldn't do this because we were traveling out of state for a funeral on Sat. and wouldn't be back until Sun eve. Therefore, it would be 1st thing Mon morning. She was desperate so its late going back.
I am a newbie and I really think she was taking advantage of holding my job over my head. I also will have a penalty taken out of my check for this.

Thank you for your help. I do know it should be atrophy is identified but was trying to hurry and started messing up. The funeral was a very close family member of mine and I think I just had too much on my mind. I definitely shouldn't have been trying to work on it at that time.

Again thank you
Annie
