Hi,
I'm new to the online MT business. When I started we used typewriters and tape machines, lol.

Are there any RI MT's out there or New England MT's.

Pam

Hey Pam!

Right there with you! Been working at home over the net for about three years now. It has its pros and cons.

I am right smack in the middle of Connecticut, so we are probably not that far away from each other.

Newport is one of my old party hangouts! The Blues Cafe. Chris Tofsley and his band used to play there. Loved that guy.

Hey Pam,

I'm a former Rhode Islander myself and I laughed when I saw your message about the typewriters and old tape machines (by dictaphone). I remember them well.
Welcome to the new world of MT connections! The online work is great. Technology has come a long way!

Good luck

Hi both Piglet and BriaBella,

Thanks for answering. Piglet, I know of the Blues Cafe, but haven't been to any performances there. My daughter lived in CT for awhile, in Stamford. Now she and her family are living in Virginia, I wish they were back in CT.

Do you two work for an online agency or just for individual physicians and medical practices?

Bria where did you live in RI??

Pam

I work for one of the larger nationals from a home office.

Haven't been to the Blues in a couple years. Our anniversay is Valentine's Day and we try to go somewhere every year. We stay at the Viking (very posh) for a couple days in celebration of another year down! Last year was Mohigan Sun. I think we are due for another Newport stay.

I'm sorry to here your kids are so far away. My husband's brother is at Quantico. We just hop the train. It's just a 7-hour trip and you don't have to drive around DC, which is a complete pain in the buttocks. We love it. No fuss, no muss.

Piglet,

Hi, we usually fly down which is less than an hour, although flying and driving are both expensive. Since my daughter lives right near Dulles, it works well.

My son took a girl friend to the Viking and was surprised (not that we didn't tell him) how posh it was and how expensive, they did enjoy though.

I've stayed at Foxwoods, but not yet Mohegan. Mohegan has a lot more to do other than gambling (not that there's anything wrong with that) so I do want to stay there sometime.
