Well I have no where to go but here for this request, as I dont want my kids getting their feelings hurt or anything. My daughter informed me today that my son-in-law went and talked with and took the pretest for joining the Navy. No Im not thrilled with that at this time in our world. But, and please I feel so selfish and ugly for feeling this way, Im getting use to having just me and hubby here and doing our own thing and the quiet, oh my gosh the quiet lol. So if he does join he will go to bootcamp for 8 weeks, which my daughter and Jadie will come live with us...and my precious son-in-law would be, possibly, in danger's way...argh! I love my daughter with all my heart and Jadie is my heart...but oh I dont know...anyone understand this craziness? I just need much prayer for God's will in this decision all the way around. I dont want them moving off where I cant see them but occasionally...and of course my above selfishness lol. So please help me pray about this situation.

You are in my prayers Rose. My son was waiting on his discharge papers from the Army on 9/11 and we were not sure what was going to happen. He got out, but now has rehabilitated his arm and is talking about going back. It always helps me to remember that I gave him back to the Lord when he was born, trusting Him that my son would be okay and that He would watch over his every endeavor. I will keep praying for you and the whole family.

My mom is a born worrier as was her mother before her. However, in the last few years, she has adopted the philosophy of "putting it in God's hands." She'll turn it over in her mind a few times, fret about it, then sigh and hand it over to Him. This seems to make her feel better and everything usually turns out all right, so I guess it works.

"putting it in God's hands."
That's exactly it, Rose. Put it in God's hands, not just once, but every time you think about it. Repeatedly, 60 times an hour if necessary!

I know, dumb words, but just "hang in there." Bad things, thoughts, situations all have an end and usually with a good outcome.
Hugs (once again).
Stay strong! We're all here with you!
