....or do you find it faster to use the keyboard for everything?

I find it faster to use the keyboard for everything I can use it for. There are some things in our system, though, that HAVE to be done with a mouse (or at least I haven't figured out how to use the keyboard to do those things yet). For instance, there are a few spots when I'm putting in the patient demographics where I HAVE to use the mouse, and I feel like it really slows me down.

I use the keyboard for everything I can use it for, too. I have to use the mouse to center align because my platform took the shortcut for that and we can't assign new key combos and that slows me down. Also, I can't highlight and cut something because Ctrl+x ends the document so I have to right-click and select cut. All in all, yes, I find it faster to use the keyboard for everything possible :o).

I try to use the keyboard. Even Alt + G will jump you up the Google field if you have an open Internet window. That little Windows logo on the left + M will toggle you from your desktop to your document. Tab + Arrow key(s) will let you maneuver to icons on your desktop. I always use Tab for going from one field to the next in whatever I can, like ordering something online where I'm filling out a form. Ctrl + Shift + Tab goes back to the field above. The Backspace key can be used instead of using the mouse to hit "back" when you want to go to a previous Internet page. The list is endless. (Sometimes these don't all work--something is not quite right sometimes for whatever reason).
