Hi, I am in the final stages of picking a school, and I am looking at either M-Tec or The Andrews School. I am going to do a search of the threads for more information, but can someone tell me if their is a consensus or general opinion on MT Chat re: which is better?

I know you are new, but the "which school is better" question has been asked and debated hundreds of times on this chat board. If you do a search, you will find plenty of pro and con arguments about the schools. Good luck in your studies, whichever school you choose.

Cassagrande, dear, seems to me that the OP made it clear that she has done her homework here and has come to the obvious and smart conclusion that these two are the best and is wondering which one, if one, is preferred amongst MT Chat members.
To answer her question - in previous discussions regarding both of these schools, the consensus seems to be just personal preference. Call/talk to both schools, check out the forums for both schools on this board and I think M-Tec's forums are open to the public, but I think it really does come down to which one you think will fit you and your style better.
Bottom line (as bobbcat says) you can't go wrong with either one!

I am a student in one of those schools and I have a friend who is a student in the other one. It is interesting to know someone in the other school and see how different our education is, though both will achieve the same end product I am sure. Knowing what I know now, I am absolutely 10000% positive I made the right choice for ME. I never came to this site when I was selecting a school though. I had a good friend who has been an MT for 5+ years, she told me where to go and I listened. Both are very good, both have a different approach, both prepare you for the work force.

I am a student at one school and my mom is a student at the other. I made the right choice for me, I know that. I do know that my mom made the best choice for her, too. We're both getting a top-notch education.
They are different in their approach, so as you investigate further you'll probably get a feel for which one will be right for you.

Hello, everyone. I, too, am trying to decide between MTEC and Andrews. I have read as many posts as I can find about the two, but what I have not been able to locate are any posts about the differences in "approach." Can anyone shed some light on a few of the actual differences in the two schools' "approach(es)?
Any input/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
