OIMMT OIMMT New Member Registered: 07/21/08 Posts: 8 Loc: Georgia	Is anyone using (or used) the treadmill desk idea featured in the ABC 20/20 segment a few weeks ago or is anyone considering it? I've read nothing but positive things about it, and I've asked my practice administration to consider that for my new office. Any thoughts? (I'd also need a "sit down" option for business that couldn't be conducted while walking (leisurely pace of 0.7 to 1 mph.) Please share your thoughts! Thanks!

I picked up a little mini stair-stepper machine for less than $50, put it in front of my desk, stuck boxes under my keyboard to raise it up to the right height, and then started stepping away. I discovered that it really was not difficult to get used to using hotkeys to run the sound files. Use of hotkeys also came in handy when I transcribed for 2 hours on a plane not long ago. OIMMT OIMMT New Member Registered: 07/21/08 Posts: 8 Loc: Georgia	Thanks for your input. I read someone's blog, and they had also picked up a cheap treadmill and made one without a lot of expense. I'm glad to know you apparently did not have any trouble with the keyboard and mouse while "stepping." I think rather than marching in place, I would really have to have the motor-driven treadmill to ensure I would keep moving!
