I have just started to work for a radiation oncologist, and she is hard to understand. She dictates as follows:

The syncopal episode revealed no evidence of intracranial disease, but on workup she was found to have a left upper lobe lung mass suspicious for bronchial getta .

Your help will be appreciated.

Sorry, don't have an answer for your question, but are you sure about the above sentence? Doesn't make any sense (or did I miss something?)

I went back and listened again and that is what she dictated. However, after brochi getta? this is the rest of the sentence, "carcinoma on CAT scan 6/26/08."

My guess is she said "bronchogenic" carcinoma.

The first part is clear if possibly she meant to say "evaluation of. . ." or the like. So many docs dictate stuff that makes sense only to them.

Thanks Ann. I just found it also on WEB MD. Thanks though. Some of her reports are really hard to understand even if I have them transcribed correctly.
